Lobster Ravioli was to die for. It was so great I wish I was having the meal at home so I could sop up all the sauce with bread and leave the plate clean. My husband had the chicken cacciatore which was also great. One of the best meals we have had in a long time. A charming little place my only problem is that we can't take this gem to seattle. Can't wait for our return to st pete

We love our tourist, who help support in everyway but the two things i get happy for when they leave the traffic is clear and time to get a great meal at gennaros and not have to wait for hours. My favorite place to be. when my familys in town its the place for dinner and before i head out with boys its the place to grub. when i have a beautiful date this is where i empress her i dont know what i would do without gennaros

St Pete Beach location. went there April 15 took my family from out of town. so excited! waitress came up and said "what do you want to drink" and from there it went downhill. she was rude from the get go. we ordered our drinks and when she came back i told her i had a coupon i was informed that they do not take coupons on friday or saturday no where on the coupon or on the terms and conditions did it say that and i was informed it was on their website will i'm on their website and i can't find it. so we ordered our dinner anyway and $150 later...my daughter had a bug in her food which we showed the waitress and she took the plate walked away and rolled her eyes but took it off the bill. my niece's dinner did not come out with everyone else's and we were told lasagna takes 4 minutes longer in the oven. 15 minutes later it came out but...it was cold in the center and the cheese was not melted at all. they should check their oven. they added 20% to our check for buggy, cold food and a very rude waitress. for the over 20 some years i have been going there this waitress and the poor service we received made sure i will not return.

St.Pete Beach Gennaros has always been a special place for us but last night we had a strange experience. It had been a year since we visited so I ordered my usual, shrimp, calamari and scallop linguine. The sauce seemed changed but it had been one year and things vary so I ate it. We had garlic bread and asked for more . After a while, we received a plain roll of bread and were told we would get some garlic butter that never came. Then we got a split loaf of buttered bread with RAW garlic and were told they ran out. I took a doggy bag home and later that evening I tried some and the sauce had raw chopped garlic in it- so- no time was taken with this sauce. :( Please Mr. Spaceship return our favorite restaurant we won't tell NASA , we just want it back..

South Restaurant.. Tried for first time..food was good but ambience sucks...like a cafeteria. Staff were trying hard but not up to the task really. It was Shrimp Fest but that should not be an excuse. Restaurant in Fernandina a better deal.

I accessed the Amelia Island Happenings website and was lured to Gennaro's restaurant! We had dinner last night with some friends and enjoyed it very much. Thank you.

[Our Gennaro's dinner during Amelia Island Restaurant Week] was fantastic!!! We have lived in North Jacksonville for 5 years and always go to Amelia/Fernandina to eat out. We could kick ourselves for not coming in sooner.

Gennaro's is on our top restaurant list. We are telling all of our family and friends. Your restaurant week menu was definitely one of the best ever.

See you soon

Even though the weather wasn't as nice as we would like--- the atmosphere and food was great at Gennaros! (And the wine!!)

My husband and I visited last month. We'll be back! And we're telling our friends!

Thanks! Connie,

From the moment you walk in, you are warmly greeted and you “just know” that you are about to have a wonderful dining experience! The restaurant is small, but quaint and based on the satisfied patrons already seated, well liked…a place that I am sure has its “regular” customers.

We were greeted by Joycelyn, who turned out to be our server and this young lady from New Brunswick, NJ made us feel like family as she explained how she ate here as a customer before she ever became an employee.

The menu is full-featured and offers a broad selection of appetizers and salads, but in the traditional Italian style…only one dressing and it’s homemade! Excellent table service will deliver traditional Italian dinners, pasta dishes, or baked pasta, depending on what your palette prefers. If you are in the mood for pizza, they have that as well. You can complement the meal with reasonably priced beer or wine.

Our server answered our questions and wasn’t bashful about making recommendations…you just knew that she’s tasted what she serves! I chose the Lasagna, my wife chose the Veggie Manicotti, and my son ordered the Cheese Ravioli. It arrived without much of a wait, but you aren’t rushed either.

Each meal was plentiful, piping hot and served with bread that’s equally hot to the touch…baked on the premises and offered in beautifully crusted Italian bread or as Garlic bread.

Within our first bites, we all had the same reaction…”the most incredible Italian food we have ever eaten.” Whether you’re in the mood for something light, or have an appetite for a full meal and classic Italian desserts, you won’t be exposed to sticker shock after your last cappuccino…everything is fairly priced!

I have been fortunate enough to travel during my career and I’ve eaten in 31 countries in my lifetime and this meal tonight was amazingly authentic, a genuine good value, and good enough to inspire me to write the very first food review I have ever done!

If you want authentic Italian food without the jet lag, write down the address and treat yourself to an amazing night out!

My husband and I LOVE Gennaro's ! We have enjoyed Italian restaraunts across the U.S. and agree that Gennaro's has the best marinara we've ever had ! ( We always order extra; eat any left over with a spoon and sop the rest up with their crusty bread. ) Their meatballs are also delicious.. succulent and very tender. By the way, they bake their Italian and garlic bread to order..mmmm, bring it on ! We would take the restaurant home with us if we could..but since we can't, we order an Italian sub (cold) the day before we leave, put it in the fridge to mellow and then enjoy it on the way home. YUM!

Don't miss this authentic Italian eatery.. and the very talented chef Peter who credits his Italian grandmother's recipes for his success.

One of the best restaurants on the island, delicious food, real italian, their dishes comes with bread and salad , they make their own bread, that should count for something. I definitely recommend them from all my heart.

I've been here in Fernandina Beach at the restaurant
with some friends from Europe , there own a restaurant in Spain ...anyway they loved the food , they said that after a week of wondering arround Florida this was the most authentic italian restaurant they have seen all over Florida. They said that the food "has taste" not like other restaurant that have overpriced tasteless food ...This is my favorite restaurant all over fernandina beach and i enjoy coming here with my girlfrend and try something else everytime, that's why we brought our friens here...keep up the good work . Thank's Gennaro's
